supper 44 is on!
I've had a flowmaster on my truck for over 3 years now and no issues with it rusting
*edit* I also painted the entire exhaust with BBQ grill paint after spome good prep work and it's paid off

Yea I plan on painting mine the same. All the pipes are rust including stock and magnaflows so it looks terrible.
To all of you who seem to be so excited over the fact that I notice very slight increases that I like from the flowmaster, give it a rest already. I know already that everyone else likes their magnaflow but I dont like the magnaflow muffler I had on so I replaced it with a flowmaster and that is what this thread is about. I'd rather hear exhaust comments that don't involve magnaflow as I've been their done that.
Keep on topic for this thread, which is FLOWMASTER.

No, there will be no CEL as long as you only take out the rear cats and leave the fronts on.
some get lucky with the cat removal some don't, if you do throw a code then do the gotts exhaust mods and call it a day
I just took a look at my truck up close and it does not have 4 cats, it only has two, so I guess I'm up **** creek, lol!!
I wish I just bought a cat-back that I originally wanted to and never bought this damn magnaflow kit. There is two f-150's around me, one has the banks kit and sounds great but the piping is so big it has no low end, the other has an mbrp and is awsome. I test drove an f-150 a year with the roush off-road and that truck was nuts!!
I'm seriously thinking of just having the whole exhaust redone or just by a brand new kit. I mean I hate having such a nice truck with a pieced together exhaust, and it looks so nasty I have to paint the whole thing. I'm really mad at myself for spending that money a year ago on the magnaflow kit..

Most members have a pieced together exhaust because it's way cheaper than buying a premade cat back. The only way to go louder is to either swap out the cats for some hi-flows or go true dual with 2.25 pipes for torque or 2.5 pipes for pure sound.
i was wondering that the other day when i was under my truck looking at the o2 sensors...I'm guessing it's an issue with backpressure? I know it's a problem, but they make MIL eliminators you can attach to the o2 sensors that tricks the computer into making it think you have your cats on, which makes the cel turn off.
'97 - '03s do not put them infront, only 2004s and 2005s with the 4 cat systems are set up with it infront of the rear cat. Otherwise its usually IN the cat, of after.
If you want more sound, like I said, swap out the cats for for hi-flow cats and/or run true dual pipes. The Roush OR is going to be quieter than you super 44 you already have.
BBQ grill paint or POR-15
