I'm gonna put a Flowmaster Super 40 Delta Flow muffler on my f150,but I'm just hooking the exhaust tip straight to it.Someone told me all I needed was the muffler, the exhaust tip,and an exhaust clamp. Is that really all I need?
And do I have to weld anything?

well ur probably going to have to weld a new hanger on since your downsizing mufflers. while you have the weld out (if you have one) you might as well weld the new muffler in place and the new tip...ur gonna new to jack up the truck tho and have someone hold the new muffler in place while you weld...so much easier to have a shop do everything..just spend the 50 bucks..less of a headache.

Much agreed with MigDaddy. Unless your a real DIY guy, having the shop do it by welding everything, hanging it properly, and sticking a warranty on their work is usually for an extra $80 - $100.
