Tell me what you think

I'm doing alot of stuff to my truck and the next thing up is the exhaust. What do you think I should get?I'm just looking for a muffler and a turn-down exhaust tip(hooking them straight together)

Price max that I want to spend is $200 and I'm not to concerned in terms of performance right now, just want something that sounds nice and deep, thanks!

It's for a 1998 4.2l V6 f150

Well it's a V6, so it's just going to sound like a loud V6. Flow master 40 series will be loud, sounds decent for a v6, but it will drone on the highway, especially with a turn down.
I've also heard that magnaflow mufflers sound good on V6 engine.

Try and find the quietest muffler you can find.

I'm going to say no straight through mufflers because it will make it really sound like a rice rocket. Stick to chambered mufflers.

That's intersting, I would not have thought that. Does the chamber make it deeper with more of a gorwl then?

Yep. Chambered mufflers are usually louder than most direct flowing mufflers. But the horrible natural V6 sound just sounds horrible with direct flow mufflers imo. Now with say a Flowmaster 40, not too bad until it breaks 4000rpm.

Agreed. I watch youtube like its my job with the exhaust, and now that you mention it, the Flows add a deeper sound where as the maggies for example have that ricer sound...If he did that, he could go race in the Fast and Furious and fit right in.
