which cat?

Hey I got a 2005 scab with 5.4. I have the K&N CAI and banks monster exhaust, and planning on getting pacesetter LTs. I want to get high flow cats to complete the system. So i am wondering which cats I should get for my 05 to make it sound better and maybe more performance. I hear that Magnaflow makes really good ones but I can't find it anywhere for an 05. I would appreciate it if yall would help me out in finding a good cat for me.

thanks

summit racing has them. i have the same headers and the magnaflow 94106 is short enough to fit, high flow, and sound great. go to summitracing.com and type in #94106 in part number search.

Thanks I've been looking for one everywhere. How many cats do you have to buy, since in know that you have more than one on the 05s. and also, did you have to do much welding and cutting?

i have two cats. you'll have the same. i had a shop weld in a small 3 in to 2.5 in adapter, then the cats just before the y-pipe bends. they fit like a glove and sound great.

Two Magnaflow 94306s, or 94106s.

not if he is installing long tube headers. after the collectors, there is not alot of room before the y-pipe bends.

Alrighty well thanks for helpin me out here guys. I'm hopin that with this banks monster exhaust + pacesetter LTs + 2 cats will make my truck sound great and add a decent amount of power to my truck. So these aftermarket cats, knowing that I only have two, shouldnt make my CEL come on should it? I just like to make 100% sure of things, that is why i ask so many questions lol.

As long as the rear O2s are mounted after the hi-flow cats it should be alright.

agreed with darren. do the 02's like he said and no cel's. you''ll be fine and you will see (or should i say feel) the added power with the lt's and highflows. oh and mid 05 and up only have two cats so your not really changing anything besides better flowing cats.
