Theres no question about it, the H WILL sound better whether its less effective than an x or not. i think fom what darren has said, '01-'03 owners havent had CEL on the rear cat deletes. i was originally gonna get my fronts deleted, but after reading that i think im gonna do the rears bc theyre bigger and that will release more volume.

yeah my rear cats are over a foot in length, theres got to be a lot of restriction going on in there. I'm still slightly confused about the rear O2 sensors; they are actually after my rear cats and very close to them as well so im wondering if people just work around them or have to relocate them.

No one has really worked on the O2s, most that have done rear cat delete jobs on the '01 - '03 cats never report CELs, but since the pre-cats on those models dont filter as much as the '04 - '05 model ones do, its a rough guess. It'll either happen, or wont happen.

but regardless of tripping my CEL, my rear o2 sensores will have to be removed and then placed into the new piping right?

yea me too, weve got the same cat system. im sure theyl just cut the cat off on each end as close as possible to the cat and then put new pipe in their. and btw i just remembered youre running str8 pipes so i changed my mind and IMO the X will sound better. with mufflers IMO the H sounds better.

Not if you cut as close to the cats as close as possible, then you can fit the pipe on, then pull it onto the bank pipe. '97 - '00s most have the rear O2s in the cats so you luck out.

yea if you don't mind, report back about the cat delete and CEL. I want to do the same thing with the cats cause mine is a '99. the sensors are after my cats also.
