dreaded exhaust manifold leak.....

ok guys, i have a passenger side exhaust manifold leak on my 02 F150 5.4...now i searched it out and found that the has been this problem for a while now. and im thinking about just replacing them with stainless headers(live in iowa)... dont really want to do the full exhaust replacement but i might...so now the questions... long tube or short tube? and why? and where to get them? approximate price?

thanks

Shorty if you want to stay on a budget and just simply replaced the failure OEM parts. Longtube if you want a major sound increase, 20 more horses and want to mate it to the cat-back.

The longtubes wont be a very easy install, working in these engine bays aren't for that matter. But if you have the funds for the direct fit Dynatech longtube header set with catted Y pipe ( $1200 ) its definitely the best way to go. Excellent T-304 stainless headers, Magnaflow hi-flow converters, and the Y pipe will let you mate it to a 3" cat-back for the best flow, performance, and sound.

well got some free time to do some searchin... and what do you guys think of this header to y pipe system? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-03...QQcmdZViewItem good or no? hardware(head bolts) that come with it good ones? price is right... and she is stainless, with what looks to be some resonators....that ill replace with high flow cats.... and could this hook up to the exhaust i have now until i have the $ to get it done the way i want?

ok after reading a lot on this subject i decided on the OBX LT and replacing the resonators with high flow cats.(or not messing with it and doing the gotts o2 sensor mod.... a whole lot cheaper...) now the only answers i couldnt find... are the bolts and gaskets that come with the OBX header kit any good? and are you guys throwing codes with the magnaflow spun cats? sorry for all the questions guys!

thanks
