Gettin my exhaust this mornin!

I'm leavin in about 30 mins to go get my exhaust done - Rear cats removed, x-piped and dumped. When I talked to him I asked him about the x-pipe and he said he could make one for me for an additional 30$, compared to the 40$+ ones on ebay I figured I'll go for it. He bends with a compression bended but it is a top quality bender, Its smooth throughout the whole transition and barely reduces the diameter of the pipe maybe an 1/8th of an inch. I'm just hoping the X-pipe turns out pretty good(kinda scared =\).
But, pricing all said and done is gonna be 130-140$. And I picked up my 2 dynomax bullets shipped for 69.95$

I'll let you know how it turns out, I don't have a camcorder so I can't get vid of it but I'll get some pics.

Sounds like a good plan. I have a shop rigged X pipe too it does me well even with giant 2.5" pipes. Enjoy.

When you get it all done, I need to know if it trips the CEL. I'm debating whether to just cut out the back cats or replace all 4 with 2 hi flows.

Quick question for everyone before I leave...
Should I get turn down, or leave the back of the mufflers open(pointing towards the rear axle)? Will it cause my gas tank and rear axle to get to hot?

Its never good to leave mufflers open, the point of the turn down is to guide the fumes and sound to be guided away from the truck.

Sounds sweet!!
I'll post some pics later today/tomorrow but man.. It came out awesome. The guy did a stellar job on it, and the X-Pipe is perfect. Came out alot louder then I thought it would even with stock cats, so I am pleased.

He only charged me 120$ for it all, and I got nice extended turn downs.

where do u live where its that cheap? cost me 140 just to put about 6 inches of 3" pipe out into a side exhaust with a cheaper SS tip...i live in so cal where everything is expensive...not bad. the 120 is not including the price of the 2 bullets right? just for the pipes and install?

I live in Camp Verde, AZ. I went to Chino Muffler though located in Chino Valley to get it done.

120$ for piping, custom built X-pipe and install.
I provided the 2 bullets.

AZ is still a hell of a lot cheaper in many things than cali.
