4x9x14 Magna flow, 14326?

Will this be anoyingly noisy pulling a travel trailer?

I have two (soon to be three) kids and a wife that don't like a lot of noise. If it were up to me I'd go for it. This will just be on stock exhaust, replacing the stock muffler on an '01 5.4

I'd like to have something a little more agressive than stock, plus I have a weird buzzing sound at about 2000 rpm that sounds like the muffler is on it's way out anyway.

Shouldn't be too bad. Is it fully under the truck? With true duals and all original cats I could barely hear my 11" bodies inside. Till I pulled the rear cats out.

Yeah, everything is going to be stock... except for the new muffler.

The only thing I don't like about this truck is the sound... all I get is engine noise and no exhaust note at all with the stock muffler. I guess that's what it's there for.

I'd like it to sound something like the newer Ram's. Just a hint of rumble cruising but agressive when you open er up.

im guessing you'd be happy with that set-up...just replacing the muler doesn't add a whole lot of volume but it is way better than stock...hit up youtube for some exhaust vid clips...are you going to dump it or run it with the stock tailpipe??

Just going with a straight replacement with stock tailpipe. If that's not loud enough I may dump it infront of the tire. I'll wait to see how it sounds first.

Well, i changed to the magnaflow 14" and have to say there is not much of a change at idle after startup.

Around 20-30mph you can definetly hear it inside the truck. after that you can hear it outside but no drone inside.

I will be getting on the interstate and cruise tomorrow so I will let you know how it sounds.

I also will be pulling my landscape trailer to do a couple jobs so I will see what a load will be.

if ur worried about sound inside the cab especially when pulling a trailer i wouldnt dump. the drone is pretty bad. for less drone in the cab just run it somewhere out the back. put on a nice chrome tip and ur set.

my bullet is dumped pry halfway back and the drone really isnt that bad at all...if you have NO music on you'll notice it but other than that its fine...i don't think you can go wrong with this simple of an exhaust though, anything is better than stock...mine you can really hear inside the cab when you get on it, otherwise pre tame

Plans are to keep a side exit of some sort whether it be infront or behind the rear tire. I use a rock guard when towing so straight out the back is out of the question.

...will be adding a stainless tip for sure no matter which I choose

theyre good you'll be fine. I have them and I love it. just perfect, I actually got them here magnaflow 14326, or you can try one of the vendors here, they are always running sales/specials. since Im very hands on, they are quite easy to install and great system. good luck
