Having a hard time deciding...

I like the sound of super 44's, that agressive BARKing sound. But I dislik the restrictive design of them, so I am opting for performace/straight through mufflers.

I thought about Hooker max flows, but I cant find a good sound clip of them w/o cats on our trucks. Something that screams at WOT and is agressive enough to be noticeable at idle/cruise speeds is what I'm looking for.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.

SLP loudmouths are pretty good too. i have magnapacks which are 4" round magnaflows and they are straight through, but probably not loud enough for your taste.

You just described the dynomax bullet, I love mine! I have some so-so clips in my sig. The exterior video doesn't really do it justice.

Ok so I am gonna go with Race series dynomax bullets, they sound great and are cheap too. Now, I don't have anyone in my area that does mandrel bending, so I need to order up some exhaust tubing. From you guys with exhaust experience, and a custom exhaust on your truck... what bends am I gonna need to fab this up?

I cant remember the site anymore, but there is a website that offers mandrel bends and pipe lengths pretty damn cheap.... someone know what I am talking about?

I thought I had read somewhere that a Y-piped 2.5"IN/3"OUT(di/so) exhaust was best for performance, but I get the feeling that true duals X-piped is.. anyone know?

Most likely heard that from me. Its true and is one of the best ways to get performance flow, and sound from your SI/DO exhausts. The best size true duals to run would be 2.25" however I prefer the better sound of 2.5" and dont mind the minor low end loss.

If you go with 2.5" true duals you might be best off not going mandrel because it will be too open, I have smooth bent, which is between mandrel and crushed/crimp bent. I'm finer with it and it still performs well.

The website that offers mandrel bent piping is Mandrel Bening Solutions.com

If your going to true dual it, you will need intermediate pipes which you can get away without bending if angled right, then the axle over pipes, then pipes to meet the axle over to exit out of the truck.

Here are some reference photos ( dirty at that ) of my exhaust to give you the idea, and to see how smooth my smooth bend exhaust is.

Thanks Darren, I am actually planning on dumping the exhaust right after the mufflers before the rear axle. I am more concerned with the bend's needed to go from each header to the mufflers themselves.

Since Im going with Dynomax bullets, I would have to get a 3" SI/SO and 3" to 2.5" Y-pipe to get a dual exhaust set-up. What would you suggest? The only exhaus shop I have around here is English wheel bent I believe(smooth best).. It stays smooth during the bends, but reduces down inbetween 1/4" and 1/2" in the bends. They are outragously overpiced though.
