Exhaust Smell in the Cab

Hello,

I have an '01 F-150 Supercrew with 5.4L engine, 195,000 miles. Over the last couple of months I've noticed exhaust smells in the cab when idling along at slow speeds or parked with the engine running. It's not choking exhaust, more like when you can smell the vehicle in front of you while driving. Any ideas?

If you've never replaced your exhaust or catalytic converters your over due. Probably have a few leaks. Check your manifolds for leaks too.

i had the same thing happen on my 98 screw, than about a month later the bolts holding the y pipe to the headers broke and next thing i know im driving around a truck that sounds like crap, i suggest checking the connection from the headers to the y pipe. this just gives me a good reason to put my deltaforce mufflers on
