Question new exhaust on an 08 limited??

Hey, i got 2008 limited, Awd. looking to change my exhaust down the road. looking for a deeper tone, like a roar kinda. and a nice hum at cruising speed. i like the dual exhaust tip look. only thing i did under the hood was put a k&n air intake kit. any suggestions on what type and name brand? and should i have someone install it or do it myself? Thanks, anthony.

some people will say flowmaster, some will say magnaflow. i prefer magnaflow, but look on youtube of your model truck with aftermarket exhausts....see what you like.

I designed it myself, had my exhaust installer do the pipe bending and install, removed the rear cats myself with a friend.

Don't know what your truck specs are, but I put the Roush Off Road exhaust on mine. It's the best sounding catback made for these 04-08 f150's, 4.6 or 5.4.

Nope, they would be half as loud because they come with 18" mufflers, and are single intermediate piped and do not affect the cats.

ok, see i have no experience with mufflers wat-so-ever. but like everything else i did to my truck, i researched before installing and worked out great. so im looking for a kit that will sound real nice and be simple to install... not familiar with the parts of an exhaust system. lol

you might get better results by getting the parts and then going to a local shop and getting them to do what you want.

If you want low rumble, go with the largest Magnaflows you can find.

For SI/SO: 12579

For SI/DO: 12580

For DI/DO: 12568

The DI/DO is really low, but LOUD at low frequencies. You'll hear the rumble about 1/2 mile away, maybe farther.

if you want a kit that you can do yourself, get the Roush Off-Road, maybe Corsa if you got the dough.
