Magnaflow is on

Hello All

Just wanted to say thanks for the suggestions on the exhaust on here. I got a si/so 14 inch maggie put on sunday (hack and weld). Sounds really good, not too loud not too quiet so far... don't know if i got ripped on the deal though. They asked 170 for the job.

For just a muffler swap $170 is a bit over the average, but business and economy does not help these days. Congrats no your purchase and enjoy the sound. More to come as the rock wool breaks in.

thanks darren, i think you told me in the another thread that it wouldn't be too loud but it may be just enough sound.

can you notice the difference??? i have always had open exhaust (cut out) on my other cars. so i am used to instant noise instead of the break in stuff.

Vaugly. Packed mufflers after a 2,000 - 6,000 mile break in period usually are 5% louder than before. Basically only you will really be able to tell.

Most likely no. Probably wont even be able to tell the mufflers been changed haha. Unless she actually pays attention. My dad got 5" stacks on his '06 PSD, my mom never noticed, I guess most women just dont notice things they dont give a F about. But come on... 5" shiny pipes in the bed of the truck and she didn't notice for about a week?
