That cam makes the truck sound wicked. I can't wait for some more clips.

Any idea of when we should be expecting more sound clips?

update

ok, i got the tune upload today (this morning)
And took a 1 1/2 mile ride. Holy freaking crap..what a difference!
Granted i only went to 3000 rpm's. I have to run couple tanks of 93 thru it, to get all the 87 out to run it hard.
Then i'll post some more clips.

i smell rubber in my near future!

this was stock motor: added cams, headers and cai and of course tune!
All i can say i have a BUTT load more torque off line compared to stock (seat of the pants meter) More than enough to put a big smile on my face (and i wasn't getting on it either). I know for SURE i can light the 33x15.5 up now.

Its like it went from jeckal to hyde (or vise-versa)!

When you started hitting around 2000 rpm...it wanted to really run..i mean you could just feel the motor urging to rev and i was holding it back. lol

I pulled in my driveway (which is gravel at the moment) Bump the gas a little and i went sideways!! lmao If i would have really got on it, i could easyly done a full circle with no effort. lol

all i can say is...i'm REALLY liking the truck now!

i'm going to need a little time too run couple tanks of higher octane thru.

I don't do the 0-60, i'm usually pretty easy on my trucks. I just like the have that power when i want it. lol

Thats awesome. Enjoy the power, but enjoy it wisely. Now go out and get the rest of those exhaust videos.

How much hp and trq you think you pushing? are you gonna ge it dyno? I eventually want going to put cams, still debating FRPP or Compcams. My question is should I go dual exhaust or SIDO with those cams. Thanks.

???

i'm not 100% positive on total gains. I don't plan on dynoing it unless i have too. After i run everything for a while. I'm going to put electric fans, to free up a little more

I went with FRPP cams, because of a few different reasons.
couple big deciding factors: Pretty much keeps stock low end torque (comp you loose your low end torque)
You can run factory Phasers (which i believe is where you can keep your low end torque because of the wide range of timing of them) Comp requires there phasers

Those two right there are the big factors!

Both sound same, frpp will cost less in long run (unless you want to change out your phasers like i did, just because they haven't been changed yet and everthing is already apart)

If you need phasers i can get you brand new stock phasers for better than dealer price.

exhaust is your decision, i don't really think either will matter with either cam, unless you put on long tubes

update

Since i've uploaded tune and filled up with 93. I haven't even gone thru a 1/4 tank yet. lol

i've drove to our little town and post office few times (2 mile round trip), been to our other town couple times, 24 mile round trip. Went to pick up some 2x6 for my concrete driveway saturday (30 round)

Thats all i've been able to drive it so far. lol I've been busy working and trying to get my driveway preped for pouring concrete before it gets too hot here.
On top of that, i usually only put on couple thousand miles a year.

Its been running good, except for couple things. Initial start up, sometimes it cllimbs in RPM, 2500RPM (which i may have vaccuum leak) Only does it on cold start up ( i remember bumping and working around that 1/8 vaccuum line on top, might have cracked it)

then, sometimes when i slow down, the RPM's will drop and truck wants to stall, which might be related to the vacuum. Joe is checking tune just to make sure.

Other that that, all is well.

Keep us posted on the issues and what it was causing it, sounds really choppy, almost like the old school american muscle.
