Drone,resonance cancellation tubes,rct's,drone

has anyone tried to do this yet? resonance cancellation tubes

It gets rid of the exhuast drone in cab by cancelling out frequencies.

I just put dynatech headers with high flows on 2004 f150 with slp loudmouths and the exhuast shop talked me into 4 inch magnaflow tips.

holy crap!!! The drone is SO bad, i got a headache! Its good at 2000 rpms, until you push the gas a little. I'm not sure if the tips is causing it or the SLP's. I like the sound, but the drone is NO good.

I was wondering if any of you tried this? I read on another forum they been doing this to mustangs

Well thats a hell of an exhaust system so it will be heard inside pretty well.

I've seen a few set-ups like that on a few GM trucks ( Escalades, Denalis ) back on the GM Forums. It helps minimally, if you really want to kill a vast amount of interior sound, pull your door panels, seats, and carpet, layer down dynamat throughout, re-install all.

maybe

maybe i'll just take off the SLP's and sell them. IF thats whats doing it.

I want something with DEEP idle, but little when on the throttle (probably can't have my cake and eat it too)

what do you think Darren?

I know the SLP's are under the cab, i might try moving them back towards the box and see what happens too

I like my Magnaflows but even under the bed and spaced apart 3"s they still drone. True duals, headers, and hi-flow cats theres no way it will be quiet. The Dynamat would help a bit but would be a load of work.

Record a video from your camera/cam corder, upload it to your computer, then to a Photobucket account or better, a Youtube account and host it.
