Longtube headers with Hi-flow cats. Dynatech is the most popular since they sell the LTs and cats & Y pipe as a kit, $1200 though, you could build it yourself much cheaper ( $800 or so ) but the Dynatech setup can be done right in your driveway.

also i have been hearing its a major PITA to install headers on my truck (harley f150) I havn't atempted anything yet but do ya'll have any advice? also with the pacesetter and buying the cats do they have to be welded in or is it a bolt on option?

I finally got out of the hondas and this is my first domestic so i'm back to the basics

Well firstly, congrats and welcome to the V8 world. And an excellent choice to try out.

You can clamp up the cats, but it wont be as good as welding. I clamped in the pipes on my rear cat deletes and I have minor leaks, going to weld them shut pretty soon. Magnaflow part #94306 cats will be perfect for the job. Or, if you want a cat-less sound, part #94106 will do the job better.

ok thanks! I think with cats would be wiser, no cats shouldnt gian more than 1-2 whp over highflow right?? and also what about throwing the CEL for no cats? how do will solve that problem on these trucks? besides a tuner turning off the rear o2 sensors.

also curious about inspection sticker with high flow cats?

i know pacesetters are a PITA so i paid someone to do it. well worth it. still dealing with cat issues. will eventually put on but i am trying to find a deal on them.

i would weld to ensure no leaks. high flows will pass inspection so that shouldnt be a problem.

and def welcome to the v8 world!

Lots of tools, a LIFT, experience, time (7-11 hrs) and a good strong buddy. Did mine (dynatechs) in my garage on jackstands.

Lets just say that i probably know that floor better than my girlfriend. After having them (both) for over a year now... no regrets... the head.ers are fantastic.

real nice sound and great performance

why would your girlfriend know the floor of your garage?

What have you and her been doing out there?
