Yea I had true dualed straight's with all four convertor's and it wasn't nearly as loud as my cousin's 06 Chevy with the same setup but once I took out my rear convertor's it really opened the exhaust up. It was extremely loud.

These trucks can't get "really" loud, IMO. GM's and Dodge's will always be louder, I've accepted that. **** them!

Do you still have the four cat system? If so remove those rear convertor's and you'll be louder than any chevy or dodge with stock convertor's. After removing my rear convertor's my truck was louder at half throttle than it was before at wot.

That's understandable. Their's no reason to have an exhaust that loud anyway's. It's better to have a mellow good sounding exhaust then have a loud exhaust that sound's like crap. I think Darren's exhaust is perfect.

I'm happy with mine, going to do my system and possibly dynamat and call it a day for that, then go to the lift!

Hey guys,
Im new to the forums, but i have a question. I have a 2004 ford f-150 FX4 in silver, with the 5.4. i just bought a gibson super truck exhaust. haven't put it on yet. but im just wondering if anyone has this combination and if soo how loud is it? i will be basically just swaping the stock muffler for the super truck.
