Powdercoating is the best method for painting tips, tips take alot of abuse and paint cannot hold up to it.

you can try header paint. it would hold up to the heat and definitely be a flat black.

yeah i was thinking header paint, but i read that they'd probably have to be repainted every year or so.

i guess i'll just have them powder coated.

I just had my Roush tips powder coated. Paid 20 bucks a piece. Well worth the price.

just not a chrome kinda guy.

if i had one big *** 6 inch tip coming out, i'd go chrome, but for my trucks purposes, i think 2 black tips coming out in front of the right wheel will look best.

Any pics?

BTW where do you go to get something power coated? A standard automotive paint joint?

well powdercoating would be best, but a member on here Zeruin had painted his tips black with krylon high temp paint and said it has held up well.
