Borla

Any ideas what set-up would sound as close to a Roush off road exhaust? I just wanted to see if there was another option to get that same sound? The Borla mufflers seem quiet based off of what I see on youtube

The Borla S-Type is close to the Roush Legal sound. As far as off road the only other type of exhaust I found to be similar in sound is mine.

Roush Offroad is just a name, it is legal. Borla makes it for Roush. Stealth has it on his truck. It has a nice sound, about the same loudness as Flowmaster 40.

Yeah I like the Roush Offroad, but for what I want done, (bent to go split side and all welded,) I think it would be soooo expensive. I was hoping Borla made a muffler that had some deep tone and loudness similar to the offroad

Now I was looking on the Borla website, and saw the S-Type mufller like you mentioned. I want a dual side exit behing the rear tires. Could you put a Y-pipe after the muffler so it goes from cats, to muffler, y-pipe, and then out to the two rear pipes? That S-Type seems to have similar dimensions to the Roush.

Yeah you could, but the S type is available in single in dual out configuration so why not just buy one of those mufflers? Easier to have the tailpipes bent for it and installed than having a Y pipe fabbed, cleaner looking too, and a hint louder

Oh, I didn't know they made that, I couldn't find the model number anywhere. Ill try to find it. Would that muffler have a deep growl like the off road version, or more on the quiet side?

It would sound more like the Legal version muffler than the Off-Road. You wont get another muffler to sound like the Off-Road
