Part number

for Magnaflow mufflers? Where can I find them at? Is it common size jus lenghts are different? (5" x 8")

I see that there are SI/DO? If I do a singe in/out does it matter if it is offset/offset, center in/center out, center in/offset out?

I was looking at 14" and 15" muffler?

Sorry for the noob questions.

The 15" being longer is going to be louder?

i am just goign to change the muffler/tip for economical purposes (read I am poor)

Thanks guys for the help.

Travis

Summit racing, performance curve, performance peddler, edlebrock, and many other places sell them.

There is no 15", its 11", 14", 18", 22", 24"

Longer mufflers = quieter, shorter mufflers = louder.

If you change your muffler only and mate it to the stock tip I would run an offset on both end muffler.

By my knowledge I would suggest to you a 14" SI/SO offset muffler. You will need to keep it 2.5", your part # would be 11236

Other than the obvious design, what is the difference in in center/offset and out center/offset?

Okay, thanks for the info on shorter/longer and so forth. Will the 14" be LOUD? I want some rumble but able to get out of the driveway slowly without waking up the kids/wife.

I have a mustang that when i drive it to work they all wake up! I mean it vibrates the garage walls because it is modded to the hilt?

I don't want that in the truck. Will the 14" have interior drone? I don't want that either for it my DD and do work out of it at my part time job?

thanks for helping me with all the questions.

Differences of the inlet and outlet locations are strictly for easier fitment, it has no affect on the sound.

The 14" should satisfy your preferences quite well. Very low idle, just a grunt start up to a calm idle down. You will no have any real heavy interior droning.
