Tips

Does anyone else get rust on the inside of your tips. I noticed it the other day and didn't think much of it. Just wonderin if its happening to anyone else

yes. if theyre not stainless steel (SS) tips they will rust very quickly on the inside.

spray some hight temp silver rustoleum in side them to slow the rust, dont know if it works my mechanic told me

if theyre starting to rust i would replace them with stainless steel tips.

these are the generic brand i have and they are pretty nice for a very good price. i have the 3.5x18s. and they dont rust.

If they are stainless tips but still have rust inside them, its most likely due to chambered aluminized mufflers, or aluminized pipes deteriorating from settled water causing them to rust out.

Nope, Mine are SS had them about 3 years and they get wet all the time, no problems.

ya they are stainless. its not really a big deal theres just a little bit of rust sitting on the bottom of the inside of the tip

Mine are starting to rust on the ends but on the outside. Only about 7-8 moths old. I was told by performance peddler that they were SS tips? Guess not.

I would imagine, if you live in any salty and or sandy condition the life span of them would shorten.
