Thanks for the info Darren (I guess thats your name haha), I am a relatively Ford newbie. Had 3 Z71's then got a Powerstroke at an amazing price...which still wasn't affordable for me lol so now I have this '05 F-150, my first Ford gasburner. I can build a 88-98 Chevy FS from the ground up if you just pile up all the parts in my front yard with a set of sockets and a some screwdrivers, but this Ford is much more different than I expected.

I had them convert my seadoo (thats some new lingo for ya, SI/DO lol) to true duals WITHOUT an X this morning. I was just gonna see how it sounded and get them to throw an X on if I didn't like it, but I LOVE IT! They replaced the stock pipe that was left with new 2.5" (after inspection of the stock setup there was wrap clamps in 2 or 3 spots with a couple of obvious leaks ), and for $70 I couldn't be happier. No popping when I left off the pedal like I was led to believe after research on this board, and it is very melow until WOT, and then it sounds like what I wanted it to! Still quite enough to cruise around but LOUD when I want it!

My truck has the two stock cats, no 4 cat setup. What was yours and what is it now? Have the 4 cats and cut 2? Hi flows? What you got?

I have the 2 stock cats, I have 2.5" true duals(no x pipe makes it a little louder) 3.5x18" SS tips.. I'm redoing my exhaust soon and going to run hi flow cats, X pipe, and 2 dynomax bullets though.

Your current setup is just like mine, I just don't have the X. Let me know how much of a difference the hi-flows make.
