Are there any advantages to removing the baffles?

as you know cold air is good air and the baffles full and become hot due to radiant heat of motor compartment so it heats up the ambient temp of that pocket or baffles so by removing you are dropping the air temp coming in buy 30% or better so i have been told makes sense in a way

awhile back i cut up my stock tube to remove the baffles/mufflers/whatever. didn't notice a bit of difference, but maybe the combo of baffle removal and snorkle mod may be noticeable. i put it back to stock because it looked like crap with my patch job where the holes in the tube were.

As far as home Depot I dont know if there is more then one hardware section but if you just go there and tell then you need hole plugs they will tell you where to go. If you go to like Ace Hardware I'm sure you can find them there too. There just basic hole plugs. I'd give you the part numbers but I tossed the stuff out....

I installed mine today. I haven't glued or painted it yet (couldn't find black PVC). The standard white PVC worked great. Those directions are right on the money. I took it on a short ride to run an errand post-installation. I didn't "get on it," but it didn't throw any warning lights either.
