Question Good Idea or Bad Idea

After some looking around and calling local shops, with a new baby, i have decided to just go with a super 44 SIDO and have pipes comming out the same side before the tire. The set up including muffler will be around 215. Is that a good deal? Especailly in VA? Also what tips would be good for a set up as such. Will this setup still sound good? Hate being broke I would much rather do dual out the back but that will run me around 450 here. It will be on a 1998 F150 XLT 4.6. Thanks for any input/help.

what tips are you using? Are they tapered? or is that just the angle the pic was taken?

215 sounds fair, if that's including tips. My tips alone were 120.

they are 45* slash cut tips (stainless steel and the insides have been coated), the muffler shop felt I was a hassle but it came out awsome as you can see

yes, you will be fine with those tips make sure you show the shop how you want the tips to be and they will do it for you

I bought my tips from the muffler shop so I would say no as long as the tips are stainless you should be good to go...

12 inch tips are the shortest I would go, since you already have them no big deal

just make sure you post some before and after pics...

I've seen like 30 different tip setups on this same type of exhaust exit location and they all look good so just make sure that you get exactly as you want it

I'm trying to dig up some pics of the exhaust on the underside so you can see the bends I did
