muffler/tip question for a noob

im thinking about adding a new muffler to my 04 screw, and im going to try to use the stock pipes and just clamp on the muffler(most likely magnaflow).

can i add this tip http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts...A2448A0A0.aspx

to my stock piping..? sorry if this is a dumb question...

Dumb question, just kidding. Yes, Stock piping is 2 1/2 and the inlet for one of those is 2 1/2.

You will need a 2.75" inlet tip. For best fitment for a replacement muffler, you will need and off set on both ends.

And every other '04+ I have worked on had 2.75" tailpipes. 2009s have entire 2.75" exhausts.

knew that one was coming. It can be a problem for those that want to retain the stock tailpipe or add a tip, but unless your like me and put a aftermarket kit on every vehicle you own it wont be a big deal.
