Talking Hampton, VA Help!!!

I just purchased a 98 f150 XLT 4x4(first truck) and don't know much about them, but have researched around and have decided for a SIDO flowmaster 40 or 44, but dont know of any good places around here for the work. Most places are asking around 450-525. Is this a good price? I've owned tuners in the past(not sure why I haven't bought a truck sooner) and have never paid even close to that price. Also is that muffler a good one for good sound but not too loud and annoying? Thanks in advance for help and advice.

Do the super 444, That sounds extremely high to me. I paid 350 a few years back for my Original 40, Si/do. 2 tail pipes, tips, labor, tax all that. That sounds high. That is a very good muffler. What motor are you running on the truck?

For Flowmaster the Super 44 would be a better choice. If the work those shops do are mandrel bent and stainless steel I would go for it. If not and they're only doing the install on your muffler & tips, then look for a place that will do more around $400. If that price is including the muffler and tips provided by the shop, go for it.

It wont be too loud with the original cats. Heres a F150 your generation with a Super 44

Before I got my MBRP I was quoted $300 for Flowmaster 40 series catback. Only reason I didn't go for it was I wanted all stainless steel.

FYI: Had a 99 4.6L XLT and it sounded awesome with the Flowmaster 40 series catback. My first truck. God I miss it.

Ya...i went to that area and drove around. And i think it is Big Als. I went in to get it looked at and its around 215 to have it set up with a super 44 SIDO exiting same side before the tire. Do you think thats around a good price? Everyone up here in VA just wants WAY too much to do duals out the rear.
