Painted Magna flow tips?

Guys, need some advice here. Is there any paint out there you can apply to the standard chrome MF tips? I'm in the process of dechroming and want to do this to the exhaust tips (black). Let me know your thoughts / pix if you got'em.

BBQ grill paint or POR-15, lots of wet sanding and prep but it would last

just an fyi - the Magnaflow tips are stainless steel.
I don't know how well stainless takes to paint, or the process involved to get it to stick - but powder coating is probably a good option, and relatively cheap.

Powder coat them. Thats the only way to get them painted that will last.

thanks ......ok I'm totally lost when it comes to powder coat paint but that's what is so great about this site. Who could I get to powder coat them? I'm giving myself a personal 'shame on me' for not even doing the basic research first but any help greatly appreciated!

Powdercoating is an alternative way to paint. The metal/steels to be painted get coated with a special paint and then are baked at about 800 degrees to ensure a strong bond. Will last much longer than a quick sand prime & spray paint job. Leave those projects for plastics.
