It's way louder than with the tail pipe on it. But then as soon as I put the extension pipe back on it (the one that connects from the muffler to the tailpipe) it turns the volume of the exhaust Waaaaay down. And then even more when I attach the tailpipe. What I want is the sound I get with no pipe coming out of the muffler but a little more refined. But I want the tailpipe to be on. Thoughts?? Oh I don't have a tip on the tailpipe as of yet. Will that help bring all that loudness back? Thanks guys!
going back to what i said in the last reply, if you put a si/do flowmaster 10 series it will be louder than the si/so 40 with no pipe after muffler, and more refined. the 10 series will only run you about $80.

According to Flowmasters website, there is no Delta Force 10 series, Single in Dual out. I know they make them because my friend has one.

So how do you guys that are running 40 series mufflers get that great v8 rumble out of them? I know I've seen and heard them out of si/so mufflers too.

True. Throw a set of LTs in too and that will make the Modular V8 Tritons roar.
