I'm not Darren, but he's prolly at work so I figure, i'll throw in my .2 cents. Magnaflow can be deep sound, depending which model. Hi flo cats and magnaflow muffler would sound good, but flowmaster always delivers a deep note.

heres my 2 cents. sounds like a FM 50 series would be perfect for you. ive had a si/do 50series on my 5.4 and its low and deep and not all that loud. and the muffler is under $100. well at the shop i go to it is.

Yeah, I think Magnaflow would do you well. I have a Flowmaster 40 series, original Si/do, laying around if you'd be interested.

darren has a lot of soundclips of his 11" maggies so if thats louder than you want i would say get the 14". if you are just going to dump it get just the si/so but if you want to run tailpipes or may be doing so in the future get the si/do so you dont have to buy another muffler.

Since you have the pre-cats, there is no need for the hi-flow cats. Pre-cats flow better than the hi-flows and sound just the same, us 2004 guys luck out especially with the no CEL part

If you believe you will want tailpipes in the future a SI/DO would probably be a good investment. The shortest SI/DO you can get would be the 14" body. IMO I think dumped SI/DOs sound weird, SI/SOs sound pretty decent, but I still prefer the nice guided sound of tailpipes with tips.

Here is a dumped Magnaflow.

With 94106 cats dumped, this is the sound you could more expect to get.

Hope dkgrey doesn't mind me posting his videos
