True duals, no muffler question

ok i had this setup once before. it was crazy loud. popping and everything. now i have di/do flowmaster and its not enough sound lol. my question is if i cut the muffler off again and added an x pipe or an h pipe would it sound more of a countrolled sound rather than an all out crazy pop. let me know fellas. thanks.

Yes, X pipe would eliminate some sound and rasp with the popping and so forth. Another option you could look into, is leave your muffler and get hi flow cats.

i already have hi flows and a muffler. its a di/do flow master 40 series.

I am running straights with an X and all 4 factory cats and mine is pretty loud. I like it but with your highflow cats and no muffler it will be even louder. You may want to put some Dynomax bullets on there to knock some of the sound down. Give it a try without you can always add something later.

The X pipe will kill some rasp and alot of popping.

I would post videos of this guy's exhaust I know who has hi-flow cat straights and had an X pipe installed but youtube is being gay and not loading.

Please keep your aftermarket questions in the aftermarket section.

Edit:

Youtube quit being gay, here you go.

No X pipe

An X-pipe will do a better job of getting rid of the "popping" better than an H-pipe will.

It will sound great, but be extremely loud. It will have pretty much the same tone as my truck but be a lot louder with the highflows. When you get done post a clip, I wouldn't mind my truck being louder.

With factory cats (4) and an xpipe and true duals no mufflers it was super loud. After a few months I put 14" mufflers on it and its perfect now. Sounds alot better too.
