i have had the aem for about 1.5 years and love it. the polished tube looks good under the hood and you dont have to worry about breaking it, you can really hear it when you give it some gas too. the best part though is the oil free filter.

i know for a fact u can still get AF1 if you really want , new.
i dont know about performance numbers but a lot of people perfer the AEM over S&B / AF1 / K&N caz they are oil filters and some people have had problems with that

Does anyone know if there is a way to get general performance numbers for CAI's?

Check ModBargains.com, I think they might still have a special running.

I got mine from AutoAnything.com for $260.

Have had it for 6 months now. match it with a Gryphon and some custom tunes and its AWESOME! big selling point for me was the dry filter (and that I ran AEM on my last car too).

Wish I had the painted one since I am not a chrome guy, but the guy at 4 wheel parts would not listen to me and ordered the chrome one anyway. I didnt feel like dealing with them anymore, so I just kept it.

Please excuse the dirty engine bay, SoCal is a dusty place

I got the stainless, it didnt come in plastic when i got it, as far as i know they were both aluminum, just either polished or silver finish.

I live in Ames right now. Grew up on a farm outside of Hubbard, which is northeast of Story City. Didn't know how familiar you were with the area.

I had a AEM Bruteforce intake on my truck, but I had to take if off. My check engine lighht was always coming on right after i put it on. So i came to this site and did some research. It turns out, alot of people had the same problem that i had when the intake was installed.

So i switched my intake back to stock, haven't ever had the problem again. (that was about 3 months ago)
