AEM Bruteforce??

I was thinking about replacing my stock intake. I've had K&N before but I am interested in NOT having to guess how much oil to put on it so i dont choke or ruin my engine. Anyone running an AEM? thoughts or opinions?? thanks.

AF1 is no longer in business because of their ridiculously high prices, but the advantage is that they're the best performing intakes. The S&B is shielded also.

AF1 3.5" makes the absolute most power for any intake you can buy. That's why it has a lot of fans. It uses an open filter element with a heat shield. The S&B is a great intake as well that makes good power. It doesn't make quite as much power as the AF1 3.5, but the element is enclosed in a airbox which some people prefer if they offroad a lot.

The AEM is an open filter with a heat shield too though.

Right after they hiked the prices to like $400. I think it was like a month ago maybe?

I run an AEM on my truck and have had it a little over a year. I did notice a slight difference once I installed it. I have nothin bad to say about it. The kicker when I bought it was also the fact it doesnt need to be oiled.

Did you get the stainless tube or the plastic? They say the plastic gives better performance but I would worry about it cracking.

I have an AEM Bruteforce. I've never had any other intake on the truck. Works good for me, but I have a custom Magnaflow exhaust and a Troyer tuned Xcal2. I got it last in the mix, and I know for a fact that I need a retune. I felt some more power after the swap, but there is a much louder tone to the truck.

Well that sounds good to me. I plan on true dual straights, so sound input makes a difference. Good to know!

I put a AEM on my dad's old F150 and it was great. I will have to say that my favorite is S&B. I had that on my Titan and it was unbelievable.

Where can I get a S&B? and how much is the price difference, because what I have been finding is that they all are pretty close, main difference is just price.
