Magnaflow vs. Cherry Bomb

Ok need help. Thinking of putting in true duals on my 01 5.4 Screw. Should i get (2)Magnaflow 6x14's 2.5 in/out or (2)Cherrybomb Extremes 2.5 cent in/cent out. Im also thinking of cutting the front cats and then putting some turndowns. First question is what kind of sound would i get from each, which would give me a performance gain(if any) and lastly any comments or things you would add. BTW I'm aiming for a low rumble with a LOUD GROWL when i give it the gas. And the last thing - how much do you think all the piping will cost.(can't really go out and get an estimate b/c i only have a permit - 15)

do a search on Youtube for f150 + magnaflow or cherry bomb. There are lots of posts. I went with a CB Vortex which is a chambered muffler like the maggie and I couldn't be happier, even though its a v6, nice rumble at idle but being a 6 it does get a tad raspy at high RPMs, the extreme is even louder.

Extremes will be louder than Magnaflows but will fall apart sooner.

Magnaflows dont fall apart, but since your not up in the north the climate shouldn't have such a strong affect on aluminized metals. I would go with the Flowmaster 10 series, they are real loud at all rpms. If you want real loud run Longtube headers with no cats or mufflers, that will sound like a dragger, but good luck getting inspected.

yea headers are not really in consideration. i cant really spend over 400. i was thinking about true duals, cut the pre-cats off or replace cats with high flows and then have a x-pipe then some kind of mufflers(or none at all). i just need help decideing whether or not to cut pre-cats or replace with highflows or do nothing. Also what muffler should i run to get the lowest and loudest sound. while doing this, staying in my budget. and just side question what would i do to get more power and as loud as i can.

I have the magnaflow and love it

I have the magnaflow too and love it, they are cheaper on ebay but I wanted a warranty (the salt on the roads here in winter kills an exhaust) so I got it here. magnaflow 16901, or you can try one of the vendors here, they are always running sales/specials. either way its a great system and very easy to install.
