My 3" exhaust was installed today.

Well I finally got around to heading out to the muffler shop to get my 3" exhaust installed today on the truck. They went from the "Y" back to my Magnaflow 3" si/so and finished it off with a 3.5" rolled tip out the stock location. Wow, I like it a lot. Only thing is I dinged the top of my door on their lift and chipped some paint off as I was getting back in it to back if off the lift. Geezzzzz,,, Where can I get some touch up paint??????

Sorry to hear about the door.. I have an 02' Fx4 and was interested in doing the same exhaust setup.. If you don't mind would you tell me what the shop charged and what your total costs where?
Thanks

Phatbak, I went with the 3" si/so 18" Magnaflow #12259 and 3.5" rolled tip #35113.

Tanner, I purchased the muffler and tip from performancepeddler.com. The cost of the muffler was $78.16 and the tip was $37.67 that's shipped to my door. The muffler shop charged me $135.00 for installation and they supplied, bent and welded all the 3" piping plus installed all new hangers. The piping started from the 'Y' back all the way to the muffler and then again back to the tip. The tip exits out at the stock location.

So total price spent is: 250.83

I'm really happy with the installation. The pipe they used is a heavy gauge pipe, thicker versus the stock pipe. Should last for many years to come. Also, they guarantee their work for up to a year.
