Is this a good deal? Help

is the volant powercore intake better than the regular volant intake system?

and is a magnaflow single side exhaust (#16612) with a volant air intake system worth $900?

or magnaflow exhaust and k&n intake system for $1000

sorry if silly questions just havent really done many mods to my truck but looking to start this year.

also is blacking out the lights and badges expensive?

from my experience those are very high prices. gettin my k&n CAI, buying 2 flowmaster mufflers online, and getting a shop to custom make me an H pipe for my true dual setup, all welded cost less than 650.

Those prices are very high. I believe the differents in the volant intakes is just the filter the power core has a dry filter. The intake is around 280ish / exhaust 500 max

Those prices are really high. A Magnaflow cat-back should be no more than $570 ( excluding ship ) and an intake should be no more than $260 for a very well crafted kit. Sounds like you'll be paying retail prices with tax and ship charges.

blacking out the taillights is easy you can buy just a simple 'taillight cover' for them that has a very strong adhesive for application for about $70 and they are blacked out very dark.

Well that doesn't sound very bad, but the K&N intake sounds overpriced for what your getting.. I'm go for the Volant kit. Actually I would go S&B but thats apparently not an option. What are you going to do for a tune? You have the 5.4L right?

why do you say volant and S&B are better than k&n. thought most quality name brand intakes were similar in performance

i'm not a fan of K&Ns oiled filters. S&B is the same thing but with a dry filter and performs just as well. VMP custom tuning would be pretty good choice.
