well guys I am happy to report that I really love the sound of my new exhaust! It is throaty, but not too bad that it annoys you! It is perfect! I know that it will get a bit louder as it gets some miles on it, but I am 100% satisfied!!! so glad that I went with the 14" instead of the 18"!!!

14" is 30% louder. Shorter length = louder, longer = quieter.

the exhaust systems for sale online are 18" mufflers only. do you have to buy seperate muffler to get a 14" or is it an option when you buy the kit?

They all come in 18" body length mufflers. You would have to buy a 14" muffler on your own, but placing that inplace of the 18 and adding extra pipe to fit will void the cat-back warranty, therefor buying a muffler and tips would be more affordable for the same thing.
