Help needed (DynoMAX)

Hey, I drive an 05 super cab F150 with dual exhaust. It has two mufflers (don't know the make) and I believe it still has the cats. We bought it used from a guy who had already done all this.
My question is, I want to know what size dynomax bullet muffler (x2) I should buy to fit in the current mufflers' place. Any help would be appreciated. Also, could someone give me an idea how loud that oughta be? I want alot louder.
Thanks,
Will

Dynomax bullets will be as loud as straights but with a very deep respectable tone. They are 10"s long I believe.

Here's the one I just bought and haven't installed....http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=WLK%2D24236&N=700 +4294923429+4294922711+400358+4294922710+115&autov iew=sku

It's 2 1/2" in/out with an overall length of 23 1/2". I've used them before with high flow cats and they were pretty loud but had a great tone. Obviously the shorter the muffler the louder it's going to be. If you want louder after you put the muffler on then either get high flow cats or remove them all together if you can get away with it.

How do I tell if I even have cats? I can't see anything except exhaust pipe and two mufflers. I want this to be pretty simple and cheap. So, I'll buy two of the same mufflers, drive my pickup to the school autoshop and we'll all cut out the mufflers and weld in the new ones.
How do I delete the cats? Cut off the existing pipe? Because when I bought the truck it had some nice tips already on it, I'd like to just leave all the piping alone.
Thanks again,
Will

The cats should be towards the front on either side of the engine right over the crossmember. its very possible the guy before you had them taken out. i think on 05+ you only have 2 cats.

To delete cats you just cut the exhuast pipe in front of them and behide them and pull them out. see how long the mufflers that are on there are and if the new mufflers come up a lil short just get some exhuast pipe and weld it in there to make it match up with the rest of the pipe.

So, with stock cats and pipe config. it will be much louder than it is currently? I want to be able to hear it (loudly) when I'm just hardly on the gas pedal. I don't have an X Pipe or anything like that, and I'm pretty sure I've got the two cats, so I'm not expecting it to be as loud as straights, but will it sound like straight pipe? Kinda like a tractor?

I have no idea, I can't see any kind of marking. It sound good I guess, but it's a really refined tone. I want more rumble and just overall loud. These sound okay at idle, quiet during driving, and are sorta loud when you get on it.

Take a picture of the mufflers and post it, that'll help figure out what muffler.

Those look like Dynomax Ultra Flows. The name "DynoMax" may be on the other sides of the mufflers. YouTube Ultra Flows on F150s and see if anything sounds similar.
