But your truck will still run well.
performance wise it's better to replace cats with straight pipe , than to gut, when removing guts in the cat- it's a form of the static regain method of imploding the tubing, [dropping the static pressure]

Hey Guys I have been looking around and checking some stuff out . I Also have that wonderful year 04 with the 4 cats . Thanks to DarrenWS6 I got some sound with taking out the 2 rear cats . I as well as most want to get rid of the pre cats and just run highflows . If you look under the truck the first O2s are before the pre cats ,and then the other set is in the middle of the pre and the rear cats . Im going to try to Leave the first set of O2s where they are and cut out the pre cats and then run the 2nd set of O2s after the highflows . I will let you know What happends . I dont see why it wont work its pretty much doing the same thing . What do you think?

Sounds like a plan American732. You will want to leave the front O2s alone because those are what read your air & fuel mixture, truck will not run without them. The rear O2s only monitor exhaust fume efficiency.
