No muffler. pipe size??

i think i have made up my mind to run no muffler to save some $$$. one of my friends had it done, and it doesnt sound bad at all. i'm going to take it to my local muffler shop and have them cut the exhaust off before the muffler, and run duals out the back at 45's. my question is what size pipe should i have them use for the duals?? i am probably going to go with 3-1/2 inch tips, but i might go 4". havent decided yet. thanks

it'll still be somewhat calm with stock cats, it will really roar with the rears removed.
