Gibson?

Does anyone on here have a Gibson Exhaust system? I have read tons of people with Magnaflow's and Flowmasters but no Gibsons. I am going to be buying an exhaust system for my 05 FX4 next week and I am leaning toward the Gibson extream dual system. Does anyone have it on their truck? I had a Magnaflow system on my Jeep before and they sound geat but i wanted to try something different this time. I was also looking at the Flowmaster Force II Dual Rear/Dual Side Exit System or Flowmaster 40 series with custom tubing. I just want a great sounding exhaust that will not make you deaf on the highway. I would really like to know if anyone has any experiance with Gibson because it is hardly ever mentioned.

I've got the Gibson "Swept Side" system on my '02 KR. It went on pretty easy. If you are wanting a loud tone, the Swept side is not what you want. It is only a little louder than stock, but I like it. Can't tell you about the "Dual Extreme" system though.

A coworker has a Gibson cat-back on his '04. It's very quiet - considerably more quiet than Magnaflow SIDO.

I bust his ***** all the time and ask him when he's going get rid of the stock exhaust.

I had a gibson exhaust system on my Mitsubishi Raider. It was a 3.7L V6, and it gave it a fair tone. It didn't sound like a ricey Honda Civic after I put it on. It gave it a little bit of a deeper tone.

Love mine

Single side out. nice sound when you hit the gas but no drone at highway speeds. NO torque loss. Does not sound like a kid's truck, sounds grownup.

Thumbs up Gibson - Single tube

I have the Gibson Swept Side Exhaust. It is a nice system and easy to install. If you are looking for an exhaust that is loud, then it isn't this one.
However, you can definitley hear it much more than the stock especially at acceleration.

From the research I did before I purchased my catbak, you basically get the same horsepower as with the other systems out there, but with the single exhaust you keep more of the torque.

Overall, I am very satisfied.

I have the Gibson exhaust on my 97 with 4.6 and it seems to work good and sound okay. I went with the single rather than duals because the 4.6 is such a small engine it needs to maintain some back pressure. Duals would reduce the back pressure too much and lower low end torque according to the Gibson people I talked to before ordering.

My buddy has a Gibson exhaust on his tundra. It has a nice deep note to it. Does any one have a extreme side exit Gibson exhaust on there truck? I would like to here it if they do.
