LOL, just spoke to the wife, she says no loud truck

As you guys have maybe been reading, I've been toying with the decision of si/do, si/so, 3" this and Y that, 15 degree rolled here and there. As I'm here reading and updating the thread, the wifey walks up and looks over my shoulder, "what are you doing"? she asks. Long story short she said, "I like the truck now and don't want you to make it loud. We'll be on a long trip and I won't be able to hear anything but the truck for four hours (distance where the in-laws live). Anyway, I tell her, "but it'll pull the boat so much better with this exhaust and it'll sound better" She just rolls her eyes and walks away. lol, maybe when I'm done getting it Magnaflowed, she won't want to drive it.

Who pays the payments, insurance, and gas? ( hopefully you because it will hault my next statement ) Then do as you please to your truck

Its cool to hear it under city driving but you shouldn't hear your exhaust on highway. All I can say is Magnaflow.

You gotta get the exhaust... although I will admit that my exhaust sometimes puts me to sleep while making long trips. Sounds dangerous but I have managed to wake up before sh*t gets bad. Sweet exhaust is the ultimate head turner.

Get an 18" Magnaflow then. It gives you some sound that you can enjoy while driving and the wife shouldn't mind TOO much.

I agree 100% with this statement! If your paying for it..... than all she has is an opinion!

Good luck buddy!

Cheers

gotta respect the wife's opinion, because that's how divorces are created...by doing what you want. Best thing is a happy medium. Perhaps go with a 24" body, that way it's still relatively quiet, and still get the performance when you mash the pedal. Magnaflows are nice & quiet at idle and cruising speed on the highway.

...trust me, I know about divorce, and my wife looked over my shoulder while I was typing and said I am a wise man
