I'm not to sure its right, but on some of my past trucks I had a formula to figure a more correct gas mileage. The bigger tires will turn less rotations in a mile than smaller tires making your speedo and Odometer incorrect.
My last truck had 35s on it wich are really about 34 inches tall, stock tires were about 30 inches. When I would calculate mpg I would do this.
If my Tripodometer read 300 miles. I would take 34(new tire size) divided by 30 (stock tires) and get 1.33333..... Then multiply that by 300 to get the correct distance traveled 340 miles. Then I would figure out the MPG based on this distance rather than what the incorrect Odometer reads.
Might help IDK??

Hope we helped you at all.
