Exhaust Options

Ok, so I have an 04 F-150 5.4 Lariat. I currently have the stock exhaust. I am going to be doing the exhaust install myself. ( I have a MIG and can make turndowns ) I know I want dumped exhaust for sure. I am not worried about loss of HP as it shouldn't be that much with any muffler. I am just wanting to know which brand and model type. I want the very deep sound at idle and want it when I accelerate to not pop, but give that deep muscle car sound. I am not that worried about drone. I have searched and could not find another thread about this. All replies would be highly appreciated, Thanks

What do you want? IMO if you're just going to dump it, Si/do is just a waste of money. So if dump it, just Si/so.. If you're going to DO. Tips.

Are you doing it yourself? Stock piping size is 2.5" Offset doesn't matter too much actually.

If your doing it yourself, go with the SI/SO and add replacement pipe to fit the gap between mid pipe and muffler inlet. You can attack it to the OEM tailpipe also. The set up configuration you will need is offset inlet offset outlet. Heres your part.

n/p, also the Super 44 has a 13" body length, my 2004 muffler was 32"s long so your must obviously be the same, you will need atleast 20 or 21"s of 2.5 pipe with a bend in it to make it work, might take a couple trips to autozone, but you should get it figured out.

Alright. I was thinking about the offset one that you showed me. I want it to be up as high as it can be, so wouldn't i want a non offset/non offset one? I'm just curious before i buy one, Thanks

Your muffler will need to be flat, not turned to the side like true duals. Offset inlet & outlet will be needed.
