OK just got a 2005 black 4x4 Supercrew Lariat and I am putting a different exhaust on. I have a magnuflow muffler coming. My local muffler shop is doing the work on the truck they are good. My question is should I go straight on the back with duals or the duals out the side on a 45. I pull a boat in the summer. I know its kinda what you like but I would like to know why you chose either one. Pros and cons to each. Thanks for your replies

 

It is a personal opinion but I did mine off the corners at 45 due to the fact that if I had gone out the back they would have interfered with the hitch. The tips would have either been way away from each other or under the hitch. I've seen them done both ways like that and it looks kinda funny. If you want I can put some pics up in my album.

everyone and their mothers grandpa have them straight out the back.
but really its personal opinion.

i also dont think having them straight out would do much, if anything to your boat

 

Personal preference, really. I have 45s out the back, but it is a pain because they get dirty from everything the tires throw back on 'em.

 

45'd is the only way it should be

 

or go both tips out one side like the harley exhaust.

 

This is true. But neverdull works great for clean up.

 

It's actually 135'd.

45'd would have the tips pointing towards the front of the truck.

135'd looks the best, IMO!

Thanks all your trucks look great. I will have to decide. What size tips are you putting on your trucks 3 or 3.5 inch. I have the factory hitch on so does duals out the back get in the way of the hitch? Both look good. Kinda leaning out the back. Looks nice on that Black FX4.

 

I would def do 3.5 inch, I think the 3 in look too small
