Is this price too high?

Got an estimate on true duals for my 98 Expedition. I want them to come off of Supermaxx headers, use stainless steel tubing, and Magnaflow mufflers (he's a Magnaflow authorized guy). He said he'll run them straight out the back with tips for $600-700. Is this too high or about right? I've seen single cat backs for over $500 on the websites.

600-700 WITH headers? Or just for Tubing, Tips, Mufflers?

If not with Headers. Way too damn much.

Just the exhaust behind the hi flow cats. I'll be installing the headers myself. I'm advised to go with the true duals with the long tubes to get the most benefit from the headers. I did forget to ask whether that price included an H pipe.

Sounds fair, but still a tad high. My exhaust from X pipe & back was $490 installed with 2.5" true duals, and me supplying all the parts. But I was cut a little deal on it. No you didn't mention the H pipe, but I would betterly suggest go with an X pipe.

Ah, it's a tad high IMO. Header install is going to be a bitch haha. Yeah, true duals with LT or a waste of time. And yes, X pipe over H pipe man. You're gas mileage will go to crap with LT's though haha

Not neccessarilly, unless you mean sound wise. LTs with a 3" Y pipe and a 3.5" mid pipe or even 3" will retain perfect velocity that can till out-perform true duals. Now if its blown/supercharged in some way, true duals would definitely be a better way to go for best performance.
