Everything I've heard, or people I've known. Have all liked it, more of a performance exhaust from what I know though.

Replace it with an aftermarket muffler. Already got an aftermarket but want louder? Well tell us what your currently running so we can suggest you whats louder.

Have you verified its stock by looking at the muffler? If indeed it is original then I would suggest replacing it with a Flowmaster muffler for a great sound increase.

Of course, starting your Own thread, searching the exhaust section, and punctuation all help tremendously.

I have a dual Flowmaster with Super 40 mufflers and 18" 2.5 inlet 3 outlet and it sounds pretty good. It cost me 250 at my local shop. I would go with that and maybe cut your cats out that would be a loud exhaust... My personal favorite setup

It wouldn't hurt anything and won't throw any codes as long as the cutout(s) are done after the cats. I just don't see the point in them.

Well there is no such thing as a dual in single out Super 40, that would be the 70 series HD. And a Super 40 has a 13" body. If your muffler is an 18" body it isn't a Flowmaster, the 70 series has a 22" body. If you including the inlet & outlet lengths of a Super 40 well its actually 19" overall. But still, there is no dual inlet single out Super 40, if your truck is set up that way, get under and verify that the word "INLET" is not on the back of the muffler because your muffler may be installed backwards.

Flowmaster always is nice but make sure you know what you're running now. Your local shop could look at it if you are unsure. Cutouts are fine, expensive and pointless.
