Green air intake

So here is the deal I if I put this on my 06 5.4 will i need to get a tune, no other mods are done to the truck. The only other things I might put on it is a dual exhaust and maybe some pulleys. I am planning to get either the edge or the gryphon in late may if that helps you guys out, but will this be ok to put on till then?

It's fine to put on, not sure you will notice any improvments until you get exhaust and a tune though. But if you've got it, put it on.

I don't quite understand... Is the new intake green? Or is it taking in green air?

J/k, just be careful about it running lean until you get your tune. If you notice any clatter from detonation, change it back to stock until you get your tunes in.

yea thats what I thought when I first heard about green performance filters, but the reason I asked because I thought i read on here that it was only the 04-05 f150's that had troubles with running lean and just wanted to make sure if that was true or not. I guess I will just wait for an intake till I get the programmer.

Any other opinions at least on the air intake, for instance is the extra money for tha af1 worth it as opposed to the green air intake?I realize the green wont make as much power, but is the diffrence really make up for the jump in price.I like how the green intake doesnt void my warranty as well.

A filter will not cause the engine to run lean, forced induction on the MAF un-tuned will.
