X2 on that, but another thing you might be able to try, not sure if anyone has tried it. Get some of that insulation that people use for Audio, like Dynamat. I figure it might be able to help it, but pretty much any aftermarket system will get drone. Some more than others, mine is pretty vicious drone though, haha.

OR... just buy a quality muffler like a CORSA

I have the Corsa Sport on my truck, with the side exit. It rumbles when I accelerate but I get zero drone... whether cruising at city speeds or at highway speeds.

Yes that works too, but most people like me who do not want a sound system, cannot justify the work of gutting the interior out to lay dynamat, granted its great for eliminating road noise and exhaust, but no one is going to gut their interior and put in cash for dynamat vs swapping to a different muffler.

I have the horrible Flowmaster 40 and as far as I know, never had a drone. One man's drone may be another man's music!

I notice the drone with my 18" Magnaflow right around 2000 rpm. That is the only thing I dislike about the Magnaflow when compared to the Flowmaster I had on my '07.
