Length cat? The 94106 is a 9" cat if thats what your asking.

As for the muffler, smaller = louder, longer = calmer. The small bullet is 10"s I think, and the longer one is 16"

Since you have an 04 which has a 4 cat setup, its best to leave it to the exhaust shop. The pre-converters are at a angle, the manifold downpipes come down to them, then **** out straight and run to the rear cats with the rear sensor mounted between the two. There will be welding and pipe bending involved.

If cost is an issue to you, and you do not have emissions, and your friends with your inspector, I would just remove your rear converters like I did, volumes it up equal to/or better, than hi-flow cats will, and keeps the CEL off because it burns the exhaust gases properly.

Heres my thread about my removal of the rear cats, a fun DIY modification.

I dont have a clear photo of them, if you would like I can run out and take a picture of mine in a few minutes, look at the last photo on my removed rear cats thread you wee about 3/4 of the pre-cats, or crawl under your truck and check them out.
