Magnaflow kit for 98 Expy

I would like to get a si/do back system for my expedition but magnaflow only lists si/so side, but they do list a si/do back for F150 of the same year. Anyone know if it'll work on the Expedition? I like the FLowmaster system, had one on my 88 F150 until the salt and crap they put on the roads in SW PA ate the tailpipe from the muffler. All stainless steel is the only way I can go.

Don't think the F150 system will work, due to the completely different rear suspensions. I just ordered the Mag system for my 01. If you really want SI/ DO check out Gibson, they offer 3 or 4 systems for the Expedition, either in aluminized, or Stainless. I had a SI/ SO on my F150, and it was a nice system, little quiet for my taste though.

I have a magnaflow SI/DO on my F150. Personally, what I would do is go to a muffler shop and buy just the muffler and have them pipe it for you. They'll do any exit you want. In my opinion, the prefab systems are pricey and limiting. When I bought mine, there wasn't a system available through magnaflow that would accommodate the 17" spare. Went to the muffler shop, saved a bundle and have the exits exactly the way I want. Just my opinion.

*noticed you mentioned you need stainless. Don't remember if my muffler shop gave me that option. Guess that would be the only thing that could keep you from going that route.

I've heard that the Magnaflow are one of the best at keeping the cab quiet. Mine has a drone to it but it also has a hole in it (just found that out!!!). When it was healthy it had a nice deep sound during acceleration but just a low rumble when at idle. You could barely tell there was an aftermarket exhaust when at idle. Just had a bit deeper tone to it.

I think a 5x8x18" body would be the most quiet. I have a 4" dia.x22" body Magnaflow that is pretty loud but sounds good. I get lots of drone around 1800-2000 rpm though.

I just put the Magnaflow exhasut on my EXPd. It uses the 5x11x22 muffler. It is as quiet as stock at cruise, but has a nice healthy toe under load. Zero drone in the cab, that I can tell.

232" body SI/DO muffler, and go to the shop to have them install.
