its a 2002 FX4 with the 5.4.

i got the money for a exhaust and wanna get one.

I want it loud but not too loud and i don't want straight pipes

what would be the best bet for me to do?

i know this subject has been beat to death but just wanted an opinion on it.

maybe i can delete 2 cats or something... something i can take to the muffler shop and tell them i want this done.

So what would be the best sounding but not overly loud setup for my 2002?

also i already hav the cai and plan on getting a tuner right after.

so what would give me the best performance aswell?

 

there are alot of diffrent setups to do. Now what i have and mine is a 03 with a 5.4 is just a 18 glass pack dualed out. I was happy with it but after hearing other trucks on here i wanted louder. The glasspack that i have has no popping and also it is pretty quite on the inside. around 1800 rpm is where you can hear it the most inside the cab. Here is a clip of mine

I just ordered a flowmaster super 44 which is alot louder than my current setup

 

hmm i kinda like that

my neighbor has a mustang with a loud exhaust and gets letters in the mail from neighbors complaining thats why i dont want it really loud.

That sounds about right for what i want...

is that glasspack made by somebody special or just any "glasspack" will do that?

what about your cats? do you have all of them left?

 

its a regular 18inch glass pack with 4 inch tips. I didnt touch the cats

Get a Magnaflow 14" body or Flowmaster 2 chamber muffler to replace your stock and run tailpipes and tips.
